The Workshop on the Economics of Information Security for 2007 has been announced and the call for papers is due March 1st. The workshop discusses a lot of the same topics and issues this blog is dedicated to. It attempts to address the economic incentives around security and privacy, or the lack thereof. The workshop comes highly recommended by a number of folks I greatly respect. I hope to make it to Pittsburgh (Carnegie Mellon University) next year and participate in this event. If you are planning on attending, I would love to hear from you.
You can get more background on this topic by reading Economics of Information Security found in the bookshelf of this site.
